Paul speaks of impute not in terms of transferring. I don’t believe that Christs rightieusness is transferred to us. Rather, count gives faith the same quality as he would righteousness. This is why faith is credited as righteousness. Faith in Abraham was his righteousness, and this is how he is justified.

Works of the law include the 10 commandments. If you take a colored pen or pencil and trace vomos down from the beginning of Romans onward, you will see that the law is all embrasive of Gods law. Romans 2 cites moral commands. And later Paul teaches the inability of the law to justify on the basis of his inability to keep the command ’ you shall not covet’’. Such a command does not bring righteousness or life, but rather it kills and enslaves. This is the thought of vomos in Romans because human beings are enslaved to sin, not merely cultural differences, they are in need of the grace of justification ans recreation.

I would agree with this, and this is significant.

Correct. I would clarify that “works of the law” (including 10 Commandments) does not translate into ‘every good work under any circumstances’. Baptism is a prime example of a good work never taught in the Mosaic Law.
