KOENIGSTEIN, Germany, JAN. 25, 2006 (Zenit.org).- Brazil has seen the phenomenon of Catholics who leave the Church to become members of evangelical communities. Now, some evangelicals are coming back, says a prelate.

Brazil is a country that is 82% Catholic and has legally banned abortion. Oh, and one other thing. They have one of the highest abortion rates on the planet.

One has to wonder just how much (re)conversion is actually happening.

I am one of the most pesimistic, If I would be former catholic, like you, I would be very pessimistic, but the Church is that, many battles but quiet because God will win.

I’m quite optimistic, just not about the RCC.

You obviously love the Church, so much that you can’t see its flaws. Are you so blinded by the light that you can’t see the shadow it casts?

I see its flaws, and there are a lot, it ´s obvious, but i think that God protects the Church and the things will better, nohome, greetings
