I hope people realize that neither Pope Francis nor the Vatican supports abortion, so-called gay “marriage” or any other attempt to socially engineer the world in some vapid progressive dream that will fail and of itself.

But I also hope that behind the curtain running the show are such people and that the Vatican and Catholic leaders understand that.

Because I am soooo sick and tired of hearing “WHAT?..I’m surprised!..I had ‘confidence’ in institutions… But, but they promised me!.., I just can’t believe it!.. Nah, they won’t do THAT!”…

I am sure that you are correct that no senior bishops in the Church actually support abortion. However, it is undeniable that some bishops are supportive of pro-abort politicians and political movements. They would probably say that they support these movements in spite of, rather than because of, their pro-abort activities. As recently as a few decades ago, abortion of children was widely regarded as horrific. Today, it is mainstream.

Yes. There’s too many Christians who are too eager to latch onto causes of the day which really doesn’t include abortion where there is still some hesitation.
