Barack Obama doesn’t talk about Donald Trump until the end of his new book, “A Promised Land.” Then he lets loose.

Former President Obama doesn’t mention President Trump in his new memoir, “A Promised Land,” until page 672. That’s out of 706 pages in the book, minus the footnotes.

But when he does talk Trump, it’s memorable, revolving around the current president’s “birther” rumblings back in 2011, when the real-estate developer questioned whether Obama had been born in the United States — or Kenya . . . .

Beware. LA Times paywall.

Another take on Obama’s new book about himself . . . .

Obama’s New Book Is the THIRD One He’s Written About Himself and It’s a 700 Page Disaster

Rumble — Barack Obama aspires to the intellectual and moral virtues of which he has none. But, like Commodus in the movie Gladiator, he has “other virtues”

On his current Twitter feed, Donald J Trump relishes taunting many people, even those who never questioned his citizenship or his birth in Jamaica, NY.

Priceless.

The man shoved us further on the path of Bush’s war policy. Sure has a lot of blood on his hands.

Where are all the leftist anti-war writers and protesters who castigated Bush? Cat got their tongues?

Oh by the way, look at Biden’s nomination for SecState, a serious neocon from the Clinton to Bush to Obama days. Or his rumored nomination for SecDef. Another serious neocon. Look for the return of Bush and Obama’s forever war policies and remember you voted for this.

I love Dinesh D’ Souza. His you tube videos are great. I loved the video on Obama and his new book.

Well, one thing is for sure, he was a president…and someone else was not. (This will forever warm my heart)

I expect Biden will whole heartedly embrace Iran, and undo the real peace gains made in the middle east. Trump didn’t solve the problems there, but he did make real progress.

Trump is- soon to be - was- a spectacle- an unfortunate spectacle in American history

He never be remembered with the respect of Obama

Come on! You really are going to cite D’Souza reviewing a book by Obama? That’s like Muhammad Ali commenting on Joe Frazier’s singing!

And, one must admit, its about time Obama taunted Trump. Barack was awfully silent during the silly birtherism spectacle. He should have said something about Trump’s mama in response.

Yes.

Just like I have watched CNN review actions by President Trump.
CNN is not a convicted felon. Anything D’Souza says about Democrats is suspect. He lacks credibility.

And, no. Unlike the hypersensitive Trump, Obama was reticent in responding to the silly attacks made on him; particularly birtherism which never had any basis.

What are you going to say when Biden trashes Trump’s peace deals?

What are you going to say when Biden puts us back on the “forever” wars track just like Obama did and Bush before him? Have you checked out Biden’s SecState pick? His rumored SecDef pick?

What are you going to say when Biden trashes Trump’s peace deals?
“Well, is what he says accurate or not?” is what I’ll say. Remember this story?

"Stalin, knowing that his time was short and that Khrushchev would be his eventual successor, summoned Nikita to a very private meeting. After telling Khrushchev how lonely it could get at the top, Stalin said: “I’ve left for you two letters containing my wisest counsel in the bottom drawer of the desk. Do not open the first one until things are totally terrible. The second letter should only be opened when you are sure there are no answers to your problems, when you are despairing.”

Khrushchev took over and enjoyed a Russian honeymoon. Then followed trouble: a failed harvest; the five-year plan was two years late and many rubles short; plotting by his political enemies. At 3 a.m. one morning, Khrushchev broke down and opened the bottom desk drawer and read the first letter. Its message: “Blame everything on me . . . Stalin.”

That’s what Khrushchev did successfully in a major party address. All the troubles of the present were pinned on the policies of his predecessor. It worked, and the pressure was off, for awhile.

The second honeymoon was brief. Hostilities along the Chinese border, another lousy crop and the humiliating Cuban missile crisis did very little for Khrushchev’s job rating and even less for his own peace of mind. He was down. Then he remembered the bottom desk drawer. Making certain he was alone, Khrushchev quietly opened the envelope and read the one-line message: “Write two letters . . . Stalin.”"

No he wasn’t.

Even before the 2016 election Obama was name-calling (implying he was a whiner) against Trump.

Obama was also the real one to attack the handicapped (remember his Special Olympics dig?).

Obama was calling Americans names a multitude of times saying disgusting things like we should not get “all wee weed up”.

Obama is dreadful. But since the media gives him a pass, people fall for it.

Your example misses. Obama was not complaining about Trump and the birtherism slur. He was criticizing Trump for acting silly, not whining about how he was being treated by the media or Trump.

So you make a false comparison. Obama’s book is what it is. He has not been much of a name-caller, nor has he claimed that all the media was falsely picking on him or lying about him. He made his critiques but did not dwell on that.

That was Trump.

Obama was not complaining about Trump and the birtherism slur.
Yes but so what?
Obama was engaging in name calling again.
He (Obama) has not been much of a name-caller . . .
Yes he has. You and I are going to have to disagree here.

You know Nepperhan. Here you are defending Obama’s name calling antics.

One thing I can say of the conservatives here.
I don’t easily recall them defending Trump for his name-calling.

They often (not always) said things like . . .
“I wish Trump would not do thus, but his policies are so much better than abortion Hillary’s” were or some such.

If you want to go to bat on behalf of Obama and his frequent name-calling, or at least minimize it, you can have at it, without me.

I will just disagree.

Yes, and the media never covers the progress he made in the Middle East. Sad. Now they will be gushing over every Biden/Harris policy. Nauseating.

I have no idea what media missed this…I read about it in NBC, The Guardian, CNN and I think even Huffington Post covered it. All of them praising the agreement and glad to see progress being made towards Middle East peace.

They may not fawn over Trump but they applauded this and reported it. It wasn’t ignored at all!

People who talk about Carter mention the Camp David accords? That was an historic agreement and a highlight of his administration. Who recalls that?

What Trump did was mostly shilling in the Middle East, not making peace gains.

My favorite part is how he was a dweeb who kept getting friend zoned.
