In my grandfather's last hours

I will include your grandfather in my prayers before the Blessed Sacrament tomorrow morning.

Continuing to pray for a peaceful entry into eternity. Lord, have mercy on his soul. Lord, strengthen his loved ones with increased faith and trust. May they marvel at that transition which each generation has experienced and endured before them. Amen! Alleluia!
 
Eternal Father, I offer you the body, blood, soul and divinity of your dearly beloved son, our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for his sins and those of the whole world.

Thank you all for your prayers. My grandfather passed away quietly in the company of his oldest daughter and his wife of 62 years this afternoon at about 1:40pm.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of the Servant of God Joseph.
 
May God bless you and your family and comfort you during this time of loss.

God, our Creator and Redeemer, by Your power Christ conquered death and returned to You in glory. May all your people who have gone before us in faith, especially Joseph share His victory and enjoy the vision of Your glory forever, where Christ lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.

Merciful Lord Jesus, grant them everlasting rest.
Mary, Mother of God and Mother of mercy, pray for us and all who have died in the embrace of the Lord. Amen.

Lord of mercy, out of great love You have called Joseph to eternity. We pray that his soul rests in unending splendor, having stored up treasure in Your Kingdom throughout his life. Your love and mercy are unfathomable to the human intellect, and so we place our faith and trust in You alone. May Joseph enjoy eternity bathed in the light of Your presence. Graciously strengthen his family and loved ones to see that his passing into eternal life is not loss, but a tremendous gain for Your Kingdom. We beseech You to join our prayers with those of the Angels and Saints to form an unending chorus which praises Your Holy name. Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven, Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who tresspass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen
