The Catholicism the Pope is encountering in South Korea is very dynamic, with staggering growth. In this country with tens of millions of people, 100,000 adults have become Catholic every year since 1984. From a much smaller proportion of the population, Catholics now number 10% of its people, with no sign of a slowing of growth.
