Dear Brothers and Sisters,

In your kindness, please remember in your prayers today, this 13th anniversary of the death of my niece, members of my family; especially her mother (who is my sister), her husband and her two grown daughters. One of the girls is now married with a little girl who greatly resembles my niece. I vividly recall being with my sister at the foot of Julie's bed as she lay dying of cancer and thinking of Mary at the foot of the cross.

What tremendous graces God gives us in moments of great sorrow such as those final hours! May Perpetual Light shine upon the soul of my niece and the souls of all the Faithful Departed. May they rest in peace. May the Holy Family embrace my family and all those who grieve over the deaths of loved ones. May the Lord of Mercy increase in us all the virtues of Faith, Hope and above all, Charity.

Thanks to all who will read this prayer request and pray for us.

Thank you and any others who prayed after reading my request. On behalf of my family as well as myself, it means a great deal. It has always been a strength and consolation for us to know others are praying with us and for us. May the Lord reward your kindness,

Dear cheezey,

Thanks again for your prayers. I spoke to my sister (mother of my niece who died of cancer 13 years ago) and she said that she had a “peaceful day” on the 13th anniversary of Julie’s death, July 20. I am sure all the prayers offered for our family was a precious blessing to all. Each of us miss Julia Mary in a different way. She was my first Godchild and like all of us, I miss her. I have other Godchildren but she was the first and very special.
