God bless Sr. Meena… I don´t know if I would have had the strength to even want to face my aggressors after having been beaten, paraded naked through a village and then repeatedly raped.

I remember reading about this soon after this terrible injustice happened. It only goes to show you that with an unshakable faith in God, anyone can be healed.
I don’t know her state of mind, but many people who are sexually violated become numb to the world, and don’t know how to pick up the broken pieces of their lives. Trauma affects every facet of life when a person is raped. You never forget the pain. In the article, it states that Sr. Meena attends Mass, adores the Holy Eucharist and prays the Rosary daily.

This is a great prescription for the wounded soul.
