First post. Move this to the correct forum if needed.

10000 foot view: Nondenominational Protestant. Finished and passed a valid home RCIA course on my own during 6 month medical leave in 2018. Missed the 2019 Easter vigil due to work but was the right decision to wait to make sure my feelings were sincere and not confused by health. Still believe they are today.

Job for 17 years always has 99% travel from Boston to Chicago to Texas. Why I’m posting on Thanksgiving not from home. Really would like to gain full communion at Easter 2020 vigil but not sure the city and state yet. Is there any way to do this? Understand that most to all priests don’t want to confirm someone that is not at the same Mass every week. Thx for any reply.

If you are baptized already there isn’t really a reason you would need to wait to be received into full communion and then either confirmed immediately or confirmed when the bishop does confirmations across the diocese.

Speak to the pastor in your home parish about it. Travel shouldn’t be an impediment either, I traveled extensively for work back when I was in RCIA.

The key is good communication with your pastor about what’s going on in your life.

Thx for the replies. Will find a way to ask the next time I’m home on a weekend whenever that is.

1ke - Have to assume infant baptism since I don’t remember it. Did not have it when I was confirmed in HS. Others did.

Cajun - Could try collecting bulletins since I drive on weekends for Monday work. 45-50/year different letter requests is too much to ask. Good idea though.

You should ask your parents or see if the denomination your belonged to has records.
