On the other hand, perhaps there were actually more happy marriages in past eras where we didnā€™t give so much importance to feelings beforehand. True love leads to loving feelings. But if you just start with and depend only on feelings, you end up with a 50% divorce rate, because feelings change. But love abides.

You mean the feelings of a 12-year-old girl who has to have sex with a 40-year-old man she doesnā€™t even know for the sake of not putting her entire family to shame? Do you think marriages were more successful then just because people HAD to stay married?

Not at all. I am only saying that in our own society where we put our feelings first, rather than love and responsibility first, we havenā€™t shown really great results when it comes to marriage. When one takes marriage vows and means them, it means not elevating oneā€™s own feelings over love of oneā€™s spouse. And I donā€™t recommend marriage for 12 year olds.

Seriously, you have to watch out for ladies these days, what with their vajazzled nether regions and promiscuous ways. Believe me ladies are out there doing all they can to tempt good, innocent Christian boys who are interested in nothing more than remaining pure and serving God. There should be a law against it.

Iā€™ve had two adult men in my office recently, in tears, chewed up by the effects of the sexual revolution. This crazy culture is hurting men, too.

Separate to the issue of modern mores; in the past it was thought that a married woman had an obligation to have sex with her husband, and that there was no such thing as marital rape. If a man raped his wife, in many countries he couldnā€™t be prosecuted.

OK all who are not christian, yes!šŸ˜¦ If you canā€™t stand the truth then i can not help this. Their woman are treated very abusive, their culture is not good for females that are not christian and those who are, are in danger.

Thatā€™s really insensitive to these men who canā€™t find trustworthy women to love, who have been badly used by women. Not all men are just a penis looking to score. :rolleyes:

Well, look that DOES suck and it happens to all of us at one point or another. Anyone who thinks that problem began with the sexual revolution needs to go back and read their Shakespeare , the Greek tragedies or listen to any old-timey country western song!

This is a huge generalization. I would wager that the vast majority of Muslim men do not beat or rape anyone and are kind and devout people.

Please most of them have more then two wives and they still stone people there. This to me is voilent. Perhaps some are going the other way but for centries they have been very voilent to their woman and children and even servents.If what you are saying is the truth then this is good news. Yes, this is very true.

The statistics for all the horrors that happen to people are through the roof.

There are hardly any virgin souls left. Television takes care of that.

Well I donā€™t know if you are being serious, but in case you are: Most Muslim men do not have more that two wives. How would that even work? That would require a population with at least three women for every man. ā€œthey still stone people thereā€ Which ā€œthereā€ do you mean? Muslims are all over the world. In Texas, they still put people to death, so execution is not limited to Muslims. I find execution abhorrent whatever the religion or method.

Sister Angel, you are spreading defamatory misinformation. Simple logic shows, as Kaid mentioned, that your claim would require that the overwhelming majority of Muslims would have to be female. And that isnā€™t true.

You might want to talk to your priest about this, because I think you are committing the mortal sin of detraction.
An important difference between detraction and calumny is at once apparent. The calumniator says what he knows to be false, whilst the detractor narrates what he at least honestly thinks is true. Detraction in a general sense is a mortal sin, as being a violation of the virtue not only of charity but also of justice.

So please also remember men in your talks,ā€¦ even if its easier for them, to some extent, to abstract themselves from their sexual actions due to their more outward physical structure, many of them also feel stupid and sad after they gave themselves away the first time, just like girls.
The voice of conscience and presence of God-given purpose in the spousal nature of our bodies are the same.

šŸ™‚ By the way,ā€¦ If you only focus on young women in your talks you will be misunderstood by young girlsā€¦ youā€™ll be suspected of double standard (boys will be boys, but women should be chaste and more protected than boys/have more rules).

Although rare the majority of stories like this go unheard of into oblivion but it does happen and it brings with it a lot of unfair shame, guilt and painful life altering stigma with it.

Men do unfortunately get raped by women.

My circumstances were different but I was raped by a woman through Gang-rape and torture at gunpoint.

How few men there are, who understandably wonā€™t come forward to receive professional help with their stigma because they fear ridicule.
