Inter-faith Quran blessing in a Catholic Cathedral

It seems the blessing took place on the steps outside of the cathedral, and not inside the cathedral. According to one CAF member who lives in the area, the steps of the cathedral are often used for local events, some of which are not Catholic or even strictly religious in nature.
