As a Baptist you tend (well the ones I know lol) to smoosh everything in once or twice a day and get 'er done. I’ve noticed that praying before bed I take my time and it’s actually easier to remember the saints and all. Feels nice! 🙂

If you are truly adventurous, you might call the local parish and find out when they offer adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. This is an amazing devotion that allows you to spend time in the true presence of Christ. Prayer there can be supernaturally powerful and effective. It will be the most holy part of your day. Miracles occur there.

Yes - night prayers are great…(though I have a tendency to doze off 😊)…

Another thing to remember and utilize - as opposed to the “get 'er done” approach you mention - are small quick prayers during the day. I will also just “talk to” God. Ask what I should do at a given point, thank Him for some small blessing etc. Keeps God with me all through the day.

Peace
James

I am trying to develop the habit is thanking God each time I inhale, and praising Him each time I exhale. Just preparing for that inevitable last breath!

I like falling asleep when I pray. I started doing that with silent prayer, by sometimes getting more comfortable than I know I will endure awake. 😃

But I kind of like the idea that my “dream state” begins with a prayer coming at it from my “awake” self.

That is a wonderful thought. Thank you.
