Does anyone know the lyrics to this traditional antiphon for the First Sunday in Advent?
In English…Ad te levavi animam meam: Deus meus, in te confido, non erubecam: neque irrideant me inimici mei: etenim universi, qui te exspectant, non confundentur. (Psalm) Vias tuas, Domine, demonstra mihi: et semitas tuas edoce me. Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen. That is the Introit Verse, I know that one. What I can’t find are the additional verses, they’re not in Psalm 24 either. Does anyone know these other verses? Here are the words from my Roman Catholic Daily Missal from Angelus…
It’s from Ps. 24:1,3,4
In Latin…

There is no name for the Choir, it is from my double CD set called, “Gregorian Chillout.” For those who love Gregorian Chant and sacred music from the pre-Vatican II era, this set is a hidden treasure chest. Out of all of my chant CDs, this set is the best, you can make out nearly every single word sung, it’s just I don’t understand too much Latin.Which is the choir singing on the CD?
