Does anyone know the lyrics to this traditional antiphon for the First Sunday in Advent?

I found what you are looking for here, with the words and melody. I also found it in an arrangement as an Introit for a choir here.

Sorry the raise this thread again, a year to the day; WOW! If that isn’t a movement by the Spirit, I don’t know what is. I have found lyrics for Ad Te Levavi online, but the version I have is different. It begins with a verse then the famous “Ad te Levavi animam meam” from the first Sunday in Advent Introit. Then it goes into another verse. I have looked all over Psalm 24 in the Vulgate and I cannot find these other versus. I don’t know alot of Latin, but they do mention the Holy Spirit in the first verse, but it is not the gloria patri. Does anyone know this other version? Where can I find these other verses not found in the Introit?

I asked this question year ago to date in the water cooler forum, I just raised it again, but now I don’t think that it is the right forum. (a year ago this forum did not exist). My question is about the Intriot, Ad te Levavi, on one of my Gregorian Chant CDs it has a version not like the Introit, I have looked all over Psalm 24 in the Vulgate for those other versus and have not found them. Does anyone know this other version of Ad te Levavi?

I am leaving the web address for the other thread about the subject, maybe it will enlighten things a little more. In case it doesn’t work, the thread is titled, “ad te levavi” and is in the water cooler forum.

Thank you.

Here are the words from my Roman Catholic Daily Missal from Angelus…

It’s from Ps. 24:1,3,4

In Latin…
Ad te levavi animam meam: Deus meus, in te confido, non erubecam: neque irrideant me inimici mei: etenim universi, qui te exspectant, non confundentur. (Psalm) Vias tuas, Domine, demonstra mihi: et semitas tuas edoce me. Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen. Ad te lavavi…
In English…
To Thee I lifted up my soul: in Thee, O my God, I put my trust, let me not be ashamed: neither let my enemies laugh at me: for none of them that wait on Thee shall be confounded. (Psalm) Show, O Lord, Thy ways to me: and teach my Thy paths. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. To Thee have I lifted…
Hope it helps…

That is the Introit Verse, I know that one. What I can’t find are the additional verses, they’re not in Psalm 24 either. Does anyone know these other verses?

The Moderators have fused the two threads together, thank you moderators, so the link I posted will not work anymore. Sorry if this causes any confusion.

Which is the choir singing on the CD?
There is no name for the Choir, it is from my double CD set called, “Gregorian Chillout.” For those who love Gregorian Chant and sacred music from the pre-Vatican II era, this set is a hidden treasure chest. Out of all of my chant CDs, this set is the best, you can make out nearly every single word sung, it’s just I don’t understand too much Latin.

You can find the CD here:

And also listen to a short mp3 of each track, including Ad te Levavi.
