Raxus I am explaining to you the basics of how to influence people and regain some form or credidibility re your views that may assist not just on CAF but in life in general.
You presumably post here to influence other persons who are just as sincere and open to correction as yourself. And presumably you consider true Church teaching a useful way to do that. To do that credibly you need to demonstrate that your interpretation of life, or Church views, actually is what you opine it is.
Simply saying “I know” doesnt cut it. You arent a priest with years of theological training, pastoral experience and a network of priests and bishops that link him to the understanding of Rome.
You are a nobody…like most of us on CAF.
You therefore must appeal to authority other than your own to influence people. Simply shouting, making sarcastic comments etc etc that you might use with your face to face encounters isnt going to work. Brute verbal force is not an authority that works online with anyone other than young impressionable teenagers.
The usual authority that people make use of to influence others here is quoting respected sources (especially the Magisterium itself), Scripture (which usually doesnt work well as it requires interpretation most of the time), or make a reasoned logical argument.
You use none of these methods when challenged. When a young contributor does not use any of these methods they will influence nobody but just make themselves look as if they are just emotionally venting. Thats a fairly solipsistic sort of self indulgent habit to demonstrate in public.
Most readers simply get bored and start ignoring that sort of poster.
So I hope this politely explains why I (and likely other mature readers) are going to do likewise from this point forward. Unless of course you come to your senses in this regard.
God bless.
