This is the same guy who did something very dangerous with his baby! What do you all think?

Shoshana I don’t know much about him. He seemed like a very interesting dude eh?The only thing i can say Bones…I wish I had as much passion for Jesus and our Holy, Roman Catholic Faith as he had for the critters. The baby was totally a lack of judgment…but his wife must’ve let him. She must have trusted him enough…I still love him so much…what a genuine guy!

Ditto … it was quite a freak accident to be hit in the chest by a stingray, in spite of Germaine Greer seemingly implying to the contrary on tv last night. The man was (I believe) a trained zoologist. In any event he spent his life around critters and probably knew a lot more about what he was doing than Ms Greer or any of his critics.I thought him a bit of a prat, however he was enormously popular and particularly with kids.
He was a dedicated lover of the outdoors, was a tremendous boost for Queensland tourism, was a huge supporter of local business around the Beerwah district…
He was a dedicated dad and family man, despite that unfortunate lapse of common sense with his son Bob.
He is sadly missed and my thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family. A life cut short, but he died in harness and I suspect if he had to go this is the sort of way he would have preferred.
A good bloke…rest in peace mate!
As for the baby incident, they had spotters and other staff (mostly off-camera), and the croc was fed/tired beforehand. They just had a clip about it on Animal Planet tonight. I think they meant well, but the media took it differently. (Media loves controversy)This is the same guy who did something very dangerous with his baby! What do you all think?

In his case, with all due respect, he did indeed walk that fine line between unbridled enthusiasm and insanity :whacky:I don’t know much about him, but I do admire that he had such an unbridled passion for what he did.
It would have been insane if he had not known what he was in for, what he was doing. We could stand for more people who don’t think it’s crazy to be passionate. In his case, with all due respect, he did indeed walk that fine line between unbridled enthusiasm and insanity :whacky:
