Is America too divided?

By restricting the sale of guns. Too many people are being shot dead and that increases the hostility in the USA.

That’s one thing that needs to be done as soon as possible, but it would anger those who want to be able to own any type of gun at all. I’m all for gun control, probably much more so than most people would accept, but I think it would divide us even further.

I think the leaders of both major parties need to speak out about the need to unite for the good of all, then live those words. Agree to compromise. Sure, it will be difficult, but unless it’s done, the US will continue to devolve. We hear little from the leaders of both parties about compromise. Instead, both are guilty of division, division, division.
