Agreed. A virtue has to be grounded in truth and if we cannot work on problems with an honest attitude, then the smiles and handshakes are more fake than really friendly. It’s not.
Or a sock puppet account who just started posting today after being suspended yesterday, is still breaking forum rulesanother traditionalist thread was just closed down
But in that thread you seemed pretty ticked that parishes, bishops, administraters weren’t ‘nice’ to you when you wanted a Latin Mass there. Seems rather hypocritical.neophyte:

I don’t care if they’re nice. But in that thread you seemed pretty ticked that parishes, bishops, administraters weren’t ‘nice’ to you when you wanted a Latin Mass there.
You were complaining about being ‘bashed’. What actually do you want?Emeraldlady:

I’m sorry I don’t know what you’re talking about. You just called me a hypocrite, so is there anything more you have to say?You were complaining about being ‘bashed’.
Come on be consistent. Do you want the truth or do you want ‘nice’?Emeraldlady:

True but I don’t think she was always smiling when she encountered children in various stages of suffering, duress and affliction. In fact, I think she was frowning and unhappy.Mother Teresa experienced moments of terrible darkness but she continued to smile and be warm.
So I guess you are using the term traditionalist in the EF vs OF vernacular? Rather then in the Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture framework.Interesting, another traditionalist thread was just closed down.
Yes, in the sense intended by CAF. This forum is not about Catholic Tradition - that is, the doctrines handed down in the Deposit of Faith through the apostles, but rather traditional Catholicism of the traditional Roman Rite (EF) and related beliefs and practices. So I guess you are using the term traditionalist in the EF vs OF vernacular? Does this assume that we should not correct anyone if they are mistaken?Kindness is an aspect of love and its chief function is to bring comfort to those who are suffering.
This forum if you read the sticky, is about Catholic customs and Traditions. It is not about the EF solely. The sticky can be found at the start of this sub forum.Yes, in the sense intended by CAF. Right. As I pointed out to you, it’s not about Catholic Tradition. This forum if you read the sticky, is about Catholic customs and Traditions.
Sacred Tradition is covered here too. There is nothing in the sticky that says it is off limits.Right. As I pointed out to you, it’s not about Catholic Tradition.
But you have to be consistent to be credible. If I correct you when I see something skewed, it behooves you to contemplate on that correction. Otherwise you are coming from a place of gnosticism and superiority because we are all just journeying on the same path aren’t we.TK421:

Admonishment is one of the corporal works of mercy. It is dangerous because God looks at the intent of the person, and if the intent is to help their brother or sister, then the action is good. If the intent is for personal satisfaction, or worse yet, to slake a lust for getting even, then the action is evil.Does this assume that we should not correct anyone if they are mistaken?
This is really sad. I am so sorry that whatever experiences you have had lead you to believe this.I think a good starting point is to accept that Protestants, Jews, Muslims, Pagans and Atheists are at enmity with the Catholic Faith.
