That approach is ignored.Donahue’s approach has worked.Look at his accomplishments.Yeah. I think he has every right to speak out. But I don’t see him as a kind, gentle and sophisticated representative of what Catholicism is all about.
Has any other non-clerical Catholic in North America defended the Faith to the extent that this man does?
Catholicism is not “kind and gentle”.That sounds like Buddhism-It is a very demanding faith that requires its adherhants to defend Her.No “Free Ticket to Heaven” in Catholicism.
It is the hardest Faith to live in but the easiest one to die in.
As for sophisticated-it is so simple that a 7 year old can grasp it yet so complex that theologans wrestle with it.
