Good luck with that:) I’m not trying to be a smart aleck, I promise, I just wish everyone health and happiness as we travel along in our journeys:)

But I sure am glad that the apostles left their personal experiences for me, so that I don’t have to search out for facts but can live my life based on faith:)

and “mainstream” sources aren’t exactly the best in my opinion. I am definatley not trying to argue here, I just have personal experience with getting very very ill.
I am sorry that you have experienced severe illness. Its a road I too have been down, and it can be completely disabling, as well as extremely unpleasant. However, simply because you became ill after eating GM foodstuffs doesn’t mean that your illness was caused by such products.

I requested mainstream sources (news, medical or science journals, etc) because they present objective information with a verifiable scientific basis. The three sources you offered are all from partisan organizations which are opposed to GM foods and aren’t likely to present an objective understanding of the topic.

Can you tell us of any scientific or medical studies which back your claim that GM foods have caused illness in humans? Certainly if you want to personally believe such a thing, it is your right. However, if you are going to make such a strong public statement , it would be good if you could support it with objective information.

I would posit that consuming genetically modified food is not a sin. To quote from scripture…

And he called the people to him again, and said to them, “Hear me, all of you, and understand: there is nothing outside a man which by going into him can defile him; but the things which come out of a man are what defile him.” - Mark 7:14-15 RSV

Albeit this quote is not directly addressing genetically modified foods and is really more of a commentary on how sinful thoughts and affections, words and actions, defile people. However, he was using it to address the concerns of the Pharisees that his disciples were not following the dietary laws of the Jews. Now, I’m wondering if this can be used as an argument to justify cannabalism. :hmmm:

No, I would easily destroy any type of defense for cannibalism with that scripture.

Frankly, bible literalism is killing off any hope of potential converts. This is a very good example of bible literalism gone wrong. There are so many.

Yes, my comment was really intended to be facetious.

I totally respect everyone’s opinion. If my sources of information for you are not sufficient I dont know what else to offer and I totally respect that. I’m sorry, I just don’t understand why they are not suffiicient, but I thank you for telling me that. I’ll be more careful about what I say. To me, the studies that have been done are enough for me. And 'Strawberry Fields i completely respect the way that you feel. There is no right or wrong answer here I suppose. Where the bible is not clear on certain things, perhaps man is allowed the freedom to decide for themselves based on what is in their hearts:)

Much love everone:)

Peace
