I second this. This is what happened to my and my DF. It was such a concrete thing already in our lives that proposing seemed kind of odd. He did propose, without a ring, randomly and with more charm and cheer than romance after 2 years of going out.My guess is that he isn’t going to “propose” in the definitive sense that you are looking for. If you have already been talking about marriage, and agreeing that you want to get married and have kids, he might be thinking that it doesn’t logically follow to ask you to do something that you have both already agreed that you want to do. I know it’s not as romantic, but it could be that’s the way he views it. I think the question at this point isn’t so much a “Will you marry me…” as a “When do you want to get married…” Maybe you can just talk to him about how the vagueness of it all makes you feel and how you would like to start making plans if he hasn’t changed his mind or anything.
I guess how you approach it would be different depending on whether or not he is ually a take charge, definitive type of a guy or a go with the flow easy-going sort of a guy who might need a little more prompting.
So you are at that timeline, good luck!
How is your relationship with him? Do you satisfy a lot of what he is looking for? I know nobody likes to think badly of someone they love, but if you’re just what he needs, he might not want to commit.
