The Quran clearly states that Muhammed is a man, nothing divine. Not only that, but if you looked at his life, and how he prohibited people from treating him, you’ll understand that Islam does not condone the worship of anyone but Allah. If you are interested, I can post both the hadith and the Ayas.
We do not worship the Kaaba. We are commanded by ALLAH, to pray in the *direction * of the Kaaba, as a unifying point…so all 1 billion + of us are not praying in different directions.
As Muslims we believe among the most rightly guided people are the ones who learned directly from the Prophet, which are the prophet’s companions. So what did they think about the “rock”
Umar ibn alkhattab said “I know that you are a stone and can neither benefit nor harm. Had I not seen the Prophet (pbuh) touching (and kissing) you, I would never have touched (and kissed) you”.
The Quran is the speech of Allah, we don’t worship the actual book. We only worship Allah, as the Quran, tells us to do.
I responded for the sake of responding…but this is really ridiculous. No religion in this entire universe is as strictly monotheistic as Islam. We worship none but Allah. Period.

If Muhammed was “just” a man then why kill people who do cartoons about him? Why execute someone who flushes a quran? Islam claims monotheism, but its praxis is more questionable. I pose the question in the hope Muslims will think about the issue.

and if you say “well then your Mosque is contributing to killing people”, you are seriously misguided.
and “contribution” to a Mosque is not the same as that of a Catholic Church. There are no hierarchies or anything. No one owns the Mosque and the Mosque does not report to anybody.
please one day decide to visit a Mosque then you will know.
