Is it a sin or sinful to smoke marijuana?

You must weigh between 45 and 60 lbs. Yikes! You need to eat - not smoke or drink. Two 4.5 oz. glasses of wine are the equivalent of two shots of hard liquor. Even a very small person would not register above .02 - .04 in one hour.
On the other hand, you are correct. Any alcohol causes
“impairment”, according to the law. Just as does 1 - 3 tokes of reefer.

That’s not necessarily true. Anything over a sip of table wine and I’ll lose my permit. Now I assume fbl9 is much older than 15 however some folks have different legal limits depending on their driving class. Class A -]I believe is lowest. /-]

I take that back. PD is the lowest. lol What was I thinking.
Two glasses of ordinary table wine puts me at about 0.035 BAC

I know with decent pot, 3 hits AND I’m as stoned as I’ll be all night… spending the rest of the night keeping that buzz…

say what you will, but the very effort in this discussion by the stoners represents an alternative resolve to serving our Lord. Getting trashed- or getting a buzz, they both serve the same purpose- a selfish escape that does not represent a selfless soul.
As a very intelligent poster said in an ealier post on some other thread, “Hear, hear!”

a friend and i make muscadine wine way back in the woods along the Mississippi river, plastic food grade barrels, and keeping everything sterile seems to give the best result amateurs will make, it aint no chateaus fancypants, but it aint gonna kick ya in the head like home stilled whiskey either, good enough for a bunch of friends and a pig roast.🙂 now he put up a couple of barrels of mead before we even met, and we just cracked the first one a couple years ago, i have never paid money for a better drink, it is light, sweet, no alcohol taste to speak of, but will kick like a mule. good mead will put you off any other drink, but it takes along time and honey to make it is expensive right now,

None of the above is true unless you are buying 4% or less junk! If, on the other hand, you are buying 20%, hydroponically grown reefer, one to three tokes will cause an impairment equivalent to >.15 - .20. One of the “sins” directly caused by pot use is lying, as I said in an earlier post.

Thus I rest my case.

::bowdown::Happy New Year People:) Say can you both read psalms 119:1-16? Thanks Nancy::Amen::

let’s put it this way, since i was 18 i have gained 15lbs and at that time two drinks was enough to put me border line on .08,i know i lost my tags more than once.so given the slight wieght gain maybe two drinks would only have me walking for 24hrs.

This idea that recreational marijuana use is OK is wrong. It is a mind altering drug and it was not made illegal for a random reason.
Wow this thread has gone on for 38 pages now. I didn’t read every page, but did anyone rebut my argument that the human brain has canaboid receptors that only bind with canaboids, whereas alcohol takes a shotgun approach and depresses the entire central nervous system? So it seems the creator designed the human cortex with canaboid receptors specifically for the consumption of canaboids.

Seriously, a human can die from acute alcohol intake. I don’t know of anyone who has died from overconsumption of canaboids. Overconsumption will lead to um, sleep.

You tell me which is worse?

One can not consume the lethal limit of marijuana.“Over dose” is a little vague; some people get sick from having too much and/or pass out. I think it’s about 1/3 body weight in 15 mins is enough to kill you… However it can lead to lack or sensible judgment thus making it easier for one to over dose on other drugs and alcohol.

if it helps i read that the lethatl dose of weedis 40,000 thousand times the effective dose

Honestly, I think there’s nothing wrong with lighting up a joint. The laws of mankind aren’t always right, and quite frankly, people are more peaceful when they’re stoned. Love everyone dude. Smoke a joint and get over it.

Hello and Happy New year.

Just as everything should, marijuana smoking should be kept in moderation. You can watch too much tv, eat too much food, and smoke marijuana too often.

Im not sure why people are using alcohol as a control for this debate, I guess because of legality? Regardless, both are drugs. Alcohol is not always recognized as a drug because of the social acceptance, but it is a drug.

Excessive alcohol drinking has been shown to cause damage…Addictions can occur. You can be addicted to marijuana in a mental sense, just as you can be mentally addicted to watching tv, internet, sex, etc.

Unlike alcohol, marijuana has failed to show neither the killing of brain cells nor lung cancer. If It is not damaging to your body why would it make it wrong? Of course inhaling a lot of smoke at once can be unhealthy, oral administration is an effective method.

While high on marijuana, normally you can make decisions and function normally. Alcohol impairs your decision making ability much more than marijuana. I think that it is sinful to use being high on marijuana as a safety blanket for your actions. You know what you are doing, and you choose to do it anyway.

Of course these ideals are not universal to every set and setting. Intention plays a big role in the morality of smoking marijuana. If the intention is to smoke a modest ammount of marijuana, watch a movie then go to sleep, I can’t see any harm done.

These are just my thoughts on the matter.

See where thought gets you?I’m afraid that if you put on your thinking cap there would be a bigger problem:p read Rom:6:14-18 We are to be made free from sin,not free to live in sin:rolleyes: Lord may we all be sober in our mind for when you come back to claim what’s truly yours:gopray:

marijuana does not affect your judgement to the extreme alcohol does, and if we use getting high to look at our lives, how we are living we can be in a meditative mindset to calmly and contently reflect on our lives from a neutral perspective.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: If you tell yourself that enough times…you may actually one day begin to believe it!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I never found myself in a “meditative mindset to calmly and contently reflect on my life” from any perspective other than “stoned” and grooving on some good tunes, while contemplating on what I really wanted to eat at that particular moment…

Thanks for the “chuckle”!!
