No & I’m laughing about it right now.
No, the Pope didn’t say that. As long as you understand that it’s fiction, watch it if you want to.Another movie that I really wanted to watch was the Da Vinci code but my mom said that the pope said that Catholics weren’t sopose to watch it so I never did
The ouija board eventually became a popular item for divination. Horror movies are still treated as just entertainment. Divination is condemned. Entertainment is OK, even encouraged to some extent. What would be different in using a Ouija board that the Church condemns the use of?
That is moral relativism. Moral truth is not different for one person than another. You draw your own line.
You make your own decisions.
As a practicing Catholic - you - have to draw the line. Somewhere. No one else.
Yes. This is very true.human IQ drops with every page you read of Dan Brown.
There aren’t very many horror movies that move you to become a better version of yourself. My oldmummy (grandmother) said that when you watch horror movies demons jump out of the tv and stick to the walls of your home but you can’t see them and it’s a sin to watch horror movies I’ve recently watch “the nun” and honestly it was so scary and evil that I felt the need to pray the rosary when I got home I’ve never experienced a more scary movie I was the only one in the cinema that was screaming at every jump scene
You admit that horror movies are an addiction for you. This is further confirmation that it is a sin, for all sinful acts are addictive, and all addictions are sinful. If you can’t help yourself and feel compelled to watch more horror movies, so be it. Usually such addictions ultimately lead to some sort of cataclysm in the addict, after which they disappear. This is a tortuous process, but if you can’t currently rid yourself of it there is probably no other way. In any case, keep on praying.I wish I could honestly but it’s an addiction I only like 3 types of movies horrors, Romance and comedies
