Is it America's job to "run the world"?

We are also not protecting the little man either. These wars are and have always been agenda driven. One day the UN hates us and we hate them and the next they’re requesting our help and we love them, this is a horror show.

This “horror show” isn’t new, for the record.

And if you’ve seen our capability next to Ukraine (who asked for help), Syria (ditto), etc, you’d know why they ask for assistance.

We are unified against ISIS. This is how this stuff works.

Look up USAFRICOM.

We do many things you know nothing about that CNN doesn’t publicize. We’ve been on that continent for decades.

Which Ukraine asked for help? The one that wants Russia to remain and even has a 93% referendum to prove it? Or the Obama administration’s Victoria Nuland and her connections there?

Did Assad, the rightful ruler of Syria, ask for our help? Or was it Isis? I’m a bit confused because if there’s anything I learned it is that you can never trust the media and take what they say at face value, you have to diversify your sources. Since the American press is a confirmed invalid source, it’s somewhat difficult to know what to believe.

You’re right, I didn’t know about that but it still changes little. Genocide and hunger is still rampant there.

That’s why you don’t trust the media. You hit the nail on the head.

We do plenty of things the media is unaware of. They don’t need to know or report on everything that is literally vital to national security. Sometimes they just need to butt out and let the Pentagon and the government do its job.

Media meddling gets out folks killed on occasion.

You don’t know what our presence there prevents, actually. I have a friend who spent three years at the Pentagon working on that very thing. He’s a walking encyclopedia of African diplomacy and security.

The media meddle where it suits them and I never said America was bad, only that we are becoming an increasingly sick society and we have to improve ourselves before we can help others. Have you ever heard that economic decay goes hand in hand with moral decay? Our morals are becoming ever more diminished with every passing second. Our sense of community and family have all but disappeared. How much longer do we have left? A decade? Two? Maybe fifty years?

If you believe that Russia is a danger to America or the world then I can’t see how? Maybe it’s not true but is media any more honest?

Or, you just see the world through the lens of pro-Russian jingoism.

He’s pursued that question for weeks. I’m inclined to agree with your summation.

We’ve never been as degenerate as we are now. We also have no sense of what being an American is anymore. Do we? As I said before and this can’t be under emphasized, our family life is greatly diminished and our sense of community, as Americans, has disappeared. What unites us as a people? The only thing we have is elites that care nothing about us doing everything they can to destroy our way of life from within and to do the same in as many other countries in the world that they can.

Russia is not perfect and has too many problems, but they have their own problems and not ours. The same goes for Syria. Their media is certainly the arm of the Kremlin. We have our own issues and we need to tend to them. America can’t do this forever.

Really?

Every generation says this. I promise you. All of them. We’re not perfect but I doubt these are the nation’s end times.

Two posts pending approval, for reasons I don’t understand but when they’re cleared it’ll explain my point.

That’s happened to me too - something you typed is being misread by the system. It’s annoying.

There are certain “key words” that trigger it. I discovered that a couple of weeks ago.
