As far as paying illegal immigrants less, that is the whole reason why they get work in the first place: their inexpensive labor. If they charged the same as everyone else, they would never get the work. So it’s a lure for the employer, AND the employee. Why a lure for the employee? Because what we consider to be a few dollars goes a long way in Mexico. The American minimum wage in Mexico is a lot of money.yes they do apply if he is planning to hire an individual for longer or more frequently than regulations allow, ie. more than casual labor on a one-time basis. He will be well advised to check out the law before he considers it. I still maintain that if his intent is to pay less than the going rate for the work there could be a moral issue there.
