Is it insulting to invite Catholics to my Episcopalian confirmation?

That contradicts the dogma that there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church, as laid out in the Athanasian Creed whihcbI quoted earlier.

Invite, go, have fun.
Is it really? I went to a wedding and it was boring.
Well, to each his own, I suppose.

That contradicts one way of understanding the Athanasian creed.

It does not contradict the way it is understood by the people in Rome who wrote The Directory on Ecumenism from which the quote came.
The Churches and ecclesial Communities not in full communion with the Catholic Church have by no means been deprived of significance and value in the mystery of salvation, for the Spirit of Christ has not refrained from using them as means of salvation.

Why do they use such terms, since not wanting to follow the Pope is why y’all left in the first place, I thought?
'Splain please…
Pontiff means bishop, and the bishop is officiating the Confirmation Mass at which I’m getting received.

No no, I’m being received. They said since I had a valid confirmation, that I don’t need to be re-confirmed.

A Presbyterian in my confirmation class is getting re-confirmed though since the Presbyterian understanding of the sacrament is different than the Catholic or Episcopal understanding.

And, most basically, they don’t have the Apostolic Succession that the RCC requires for a valid confirmation, and (unless this is something else that has drifted away) so do (or did) Episcopalians/Anglicans. Mostly. I never over-generalize about stuff like that.

Apostolic Succession is valid for Bishop Steven Lopes.

Who he? Pray tell? I needed more characters. “Who he” is all I wanted to say.

I’m up to date here then, on that.

But…How does that play in this Episcopalian service of which Episcopal speaks?
