No, I think it actually is the best translation because it communicates the actual reality without having to engage in some kind of theodicy that denies what Christ has said. My point is that you need to read it in the context of the entire sentence which consists of two clauses.

They can’t force you to pray the new translation. lol The Traditional version will always be available and quite possibly a future Pope will unchange the change.
In a way, the can. They can change the translation that is prayed at Mass. This wouldn’t prohibit a person from privately praying any other preferred translation,of course.

No it isn’t more accurate. “Ne nos inducas” is an exact translation of μη εισεvεγκηs ημαs . It means neither more less than “lead us not”.

Where there could be some room for reinterpretation is in the word temptation, where a possible alternative would be “test”
