No, it is not OK. There are a lot of other things on television that are not OK either. The best thing you can do is jettison TV entirely. You will get used to its absence in a week or two and then you will wonder what you ever saw in it.
I made a resolution to quit TV in 2008 and I haven’t had one since. It wasn’t really much of a resolution since I had almost already quit entirely, and my TV was failing anyway.
I’m still glad I quit though. I have a lot more free time now, I don’t pay for garbage, and I’m no longer bothered by the gross crass vile stupidity they try to shove down everybody’s throat.
Dump your TV, you’ll be glad you did.
