Hey everyone. I know that we are never supposed to wish evil on another. However, is it okay to wish bad things to happen to an evil organization such as Planned Parenthood?
Last year seven Catholic Priests gathered around the Rockford abortion mill and prayed prayers of exorcism.
Thank you my friend! What can I say, we need to keep our priorities straight!I love it Rascalking![]()
No worries – I wasn’t accusing you of doing any such thing. When I say bad things, I don’t mean that I hope they get bombed or anything. I just hope that they go out of business.
Oh okay. Thanks! No worries – I wasn’t accusing you of doing any such thing.I just wanted to set the parameters of the discussion.
Closing PP is not a bad thing. The good would be no one performing abortions there, no one at PP working toward future abortions, no quick access for abortion minded women, no organization for legitimizing the abortion mindset in the culture, and no one being financially compensated for abortion. It would thus stop the sinfulness inherent in the actions at PP, but PP is not sinful itself, sin exists in a deeper context. When I say bad things, I don’t mean that I hope they get bombed or anything. I just hope that they go out of business.
We have to make the distinction between the organization, which is, after all just a name on paper, and the people in that organization. Of course we can hope that PP will fail–in it’s mission of aborting and contracepting babies, in encouraging women to get those things, in “educating” our young people that the only way out of a difficult situation is to destroy their children, in influencing our legislators, in perpetrating their “services” within our society and around the world. To desire the end of those things is not at all “evil” but extremely good and right.I pray for good things to happen to evil entities. If it comes from God, it is good. May God bless Planned Parenthood and all those who engage in evil.
You don’t fight evil with evil.
I disagree. An organization is by nature made up of individuals united for an end, or cause, or goal. No one here is interested in doing away with a name on paper. We want to get individuals to stop sinning and scandalizing others. We have to make the distinction between the organization, which is, after all just a name on paper, and the people in that organization. I hope for the people involved in PP that they see the error of their diabolical philsophy of death and leave the organization so that it no longer has any supporters/workers. To pray for the end of such horrors is holy, right and proper.
The only “bad thing” the OP wanted was for PP to shut down. No one is talking about bad things happening to persons, but to the idea behind the organization that teaches death is the answer to the more difficult situations in life.I disagree. I suppose the OP and I could differ on the idea of what “bad things” are, but still, “bad things” don’t come from God, who is pure Love and Goodness. I want good things to happen to PP, i.e. its employees and supporters, like conversion and penance.
I understand. But like I wrote, shutting down PP isn’t bad.The only “bad thing” the OP wanted was for PP to shut down. No one is talking about bad things happening to persons, but to the idea behind the organization that teaches death is the answer to the more difficult situations in life.
