Is it our place to prevent Homosexual Marriages?

I believe you are right about the hate crime but that is for speaking out against ‘gay’ rights and ‘gay marriage’. I don’t think hate speech covers what is said privately to a couple by a priest. In any case, the priest can simply say the couple is not disposed to receive the sacrament (which they aren’t) no further reason need be given.
What happens when one church sanctifies gay marriage? Watch Canada, and you’ll find out. The United Church of Canada endorses Gay marriage. This affects all of us.

How long will it be, before people start pointing at them as the reasonable church? It wouldn’t be much longer before we are seen as long in the tooth and out of touch.

Some gays sued the Bible publishers for more than $50 million because reading what the book says about homosexuality caused “emotional upheaval and pain” in their lives. Sooner or later an activist judge will agree with them and it will create a dangerous precedent for persecution of those who disagree with the gay agenda - I guess it will be called a hate crime.

If you are a parent, they will go after your kids in school, taking them to field trips to “gay marriage” ceremonies (it happened in CA), teaching them stories about how Steve has 2 daddies and Mary has 2 mommies, and this will be part of the school curriculum (it is already so in parts of MA and CA). What’s next, anatomically explicit gay sex education in schools? And what about the parent who will stand up against this and try to protect his child from gay indoctrination in school, will he be guilty of a hate crime?

What about the psychologist who sees a gay patient, I guess if he refuses to counsel him he will be guilty of discrimination, if he gives sound advice telling that this lifestyle is self-destructive (promiscuity, HIV, depression) than he will be guilty of a hate crime, either way he will be sued for huge amounts of money. I guess psychologists/psychiatrists will have to become yespeople and “celebrate the diversity” or go out of business.

The way it stands now, the gay agenda is a weapon for the persecution of Christians, and “gay marriage” will certainly promote the gay agenda and lead to more persecution.

I also heard that activist gays most viciously attack and try to silence the ex-gays who made an effort and succeeded in abandoning the life-style - isn’t that a hate crime against the ex-gays?
