do angels have material fallen natures too? as i understand many of them rebelled! right?
Angels do not have fallen nature that will make then fall into sin. Based on the book about angels that I’ve read, it is said that when God made the angels, he made them with a will that is * supremely free*. It is by making an act of love for God that a spirit, whether an angel or a human soul, fits itself for heaven. The love can be proved- * by a free and vouluntary submission of the will of God** which we commonly call an “act of obedience” or an act of loyalty. God made the angels with free will so that they might be capable of making their act of love, their choice of God. * Only after they had done so (by putting them to a test) would they see God face to face; only then would they enter into that everlasting union with God *.
God has not made known to us the nature of the test to which the angels were put. Many theologians think that God gave the angels the preview of Jesus Christ, the plan of Incarnation, the sufferrings he will undergo, the humiliations and the crucifixion and God commanded them to adore Him. According to this theory, some of the angels rebelled at this idea that they would have to adore God in a guise of a man… Conscious of their own spiritual beauty and their dignity, they could not bring themselves to the act of submission that adoration of Jesus Christ would demand of them (perhaps they think “Why would we adore God in a guise of the human being? Humans are lower than us!”). One of the angels, the greatest of them, named Lucifer lead the rebellion and said “We (some version say “I”) will not serve!” They’ve done that out of their *own, perfect will *, without any weaknesses such as that in us, human beings.
Same principle, once a human being, reached the beatific vision, their will is going to be completely perfect, without any weaknesses that will make them fall into sin. They will no longer be tempted or tested, since they have already proven themselves while they are still on earth.*
