If you throw away bread that is beginning to get mold on it, are you being wasteful of food and is that something that needs to be confessed?
No this is not sinful. The bread has already started the natural process of decomposing. Throw it away.If you throw away bread that is beginning to get mold on it, are you being wasteful of food and is that something that needs to be confessed?
I certainly wouldn’t find it sinful personally. If it’s something that happens continually you might want to consider your purchasing and storage routines, but I can’t imagine a situation where discarding something that is inedible could become sinful. If you throw away bread that is beginning to get mold on it, are you being wasteful of food and is that something that needs to be confessed?
Only in the sense that you bought more bread than you could use in the time allowed. Since you obviously didn’t do that on purpose, it’s not a sin.If you throw away bread that is beginning to get mold on it, are you being wasteful of food and is that something that needs to be confessed?
Would these be Canada geese by any chance? Only way I would give them moldy bread is if they would get offended and leave town. Otherwise, the more you feed them, the more goose droppings you have to step around!I have had the same problem as bread doesn’t move to quickly in my house. I just tear off the mold and give it to the birds or go to the park with my grandson and we fed it to the geese…who love it immensely…so I don’t feel it is a waste…![]()
I live alone, so a big loaf is too much to keep even in the fridge. I will take out about 8 slices and put the rest in the freezer. Then I take out more as needed. The taste is not bad, and I never have a mold problem. No, it’s not sinful to throw away food that is decomposing. Certainly it could be dangerous to eat it.
Keep bread in the fridge in future to prevent mold growth.
Absolutely not. Mould is harmful to the body.If you throw away bread that is beginning to get mold on it, are you being wasteful of food and is that something that needs to be confessed?
Yep.I’m sorry, but what does this have to do with Liturgy and Sacraments? Are your concerned about it being a sin?
What about buying too much where by you can not consume it before it goes bad?throwing away moldy bread is not a sin
I leave out what I can use right away and put the rest in the freezer. Then I take it out as needed. It will not taste off as long as it is not frozen for many months.Yep.
