I definitely can understand why the original poster is finding the dating scene a little discouraging. I live in a big city and my parish has a fantastic young adults group, but it is mostly men in their 20s and 30s! Please don’t get discouraged though, you seem really thoughtful and you are still so young. I met the most amazing guy when I was 22 and he was 27. It would be really unfortunate to have missed out on such a wonderful person had he given up too young. Maybe you could try catholic match?
Done it already and there wasn’t anybody close by that I clicked with

Sometimes it’s easier said than done but trust God.

You never know where you might meet a woman. Not just at Church!

Maybe the girl out there for you needs to move to your town, or maybe she will be a convert and turn up at your church one day? Many possibilities.

I’m single and didn’t become Catholic until I was 21, now turning 23 this year. I have never dated and felt like giving up on love when I was 18. It seems all the catholic men I encounter are married, entering the seminary or barely catholic (follow barely any of the teachings)
But I still have hope, although I’m not 100% sure if I’m called to marriage or not. I think I would only know if I dated someone I guess.

So please don’t lose hope on finding someone! Keep praying and trust Jesus!

Nice post, Blue Rose. 🙂

Greetings from Adelaide, and welcome to CAF.

I see that this is your first post. Congratulations!

I hope you enjoy your time here.

Your name suggest to me that you may visit the Rose Garden at the Botanical Gardens. I go a couple of times a year. It’s a beautiful spot.

Blessings,

Edmundus
