I believe in the Gospels in the Bible and in the Bible. The Word of God. I am Catholic.
The Gospels give us the life and Ministry of Jesus Christ.
There are 4 Gospels- Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Luke also wrote Acts .

its a pity this thread is goung the way of the secular gendered arguments.

Seems like some of you believe in, what I perceive to be at least, close to the borders of the effeminisation of men.
What do you mean by “feminisation”? It’s good to clarify terms so we understand one another.
I don’t share that ideal (even remotely) at all and believe in, what’s likely popularly considered today, a more archaic or ‘ancient’ position.

I hold that because I find more faith in ancient custom than I do in modern progressivism which just wants to destroy gender entirely (something I view as sacred)
Are progressives really trying to destroy gender altogether, or just allow for a wider range of personal expression rather than simply assigning stereotypical “masculine” traits to men, and stereotypical “feminine” traits to women?
And I’m also not allergic to being a woman and inferior to men on several levels.
I’m physically and mentally stronger than a lot of men I know, so it would be dishonest to think of myself as inherently inferior in any regard to all men (individuals are different).
I should be paid what I deserve based upon my capability. Not be patronised by handouts and courtesies just because I have a different anatomy.
So…you’re a feminist? Cause that’s one of the things they’ve been fighting for since the Suffragettes.
I won’t bother to comment more on the topic. Women are NOT men. Nor do I wish them to be.

Both genders are different with inherent natural strengths and weaknesses. One would hope people could engage their brain and accept that. Instead of trying to brainwash our society with forced equality bordering on some sort of dictatorship and bigotry.
Women and men are not monoliths. Individual people have individual strengths and capabilities, and forcing people into certain roles (especially where the workforce is concerned) based on their genitalia is just so primeval.

Again, other than women becoming priests, I’m not quite sure what you’re objecting to.

“Equality” as I think of it means equal voting rights, and equal career and economic opportunities. Once that’s taken care of, 99% of the issue is resolved in my mind. I don’t have time nor do I care about any sort of gender theory beyond voting rights, jobs and money.

If we isolate any one scene or theme in a Gospel we all could legitimize a good deal of “isms” based around Christ’s words and deeds.

It’s a dangerous game to ask yourself if the Lord fits into your definition of this or that movement or philosophy; we risk turning Him intonsomething He was not; better we do our best to fit into the definitions He has for us.

In fact I dare say that women are generally psychologically stronger than men

The idea that that women make 77 cents on the dollar compared to men solely based on gender has been debunked over and over. The vast majority of that discrepancy is due to career choices. Now, there may yet still be a tiny percentage of discrepancy that can be attributed to discrimination, but it is not 23%.

Based on the church, we would know that he approves of equal pay for equal work, equal opportunities in the professional field etc since the church has expressed support for women who work and spoke against the injustice they faced.
In a Catholic context, this is the most accurate answer you can get.

This is not something we have to speculate on as though we were looking back 2000 years. Jesus is alive and active at the present moment via Apostolic Succession & Magisterial teaching.

Then at least admit that we’re the ones who more frequently kill spouses in a rampage of sexist violence. Maybe a society with more feminine (name removed by moderator)ut and power would be more peaceful

I’m all for having diverse (name removed by moderator)ut from, and power sharing by, all groups in society, including women.

I do not however think that one gender is naturally more peaceful or better. Equal means equal. Men and women equal. Not one gender “better”. I may make old Honeymooners-era sexist jokes, but I do not believe women are superior any more than I believe men are superior.

I agree completely.

Looking back over the posts, I don’t see where she makes an argument for that.

I highly doubt female dominated societies would be more peaceful.

Women are capable of great violence in defense of their families, and I’d wager a female led society would be extremely hostile to outside groups in defense of their homeland, and anthropologists tend to agree.

I don’t see where she makes an argument for that.
I based that comment off this quote of hers: “This idea that women need to be able to do every last thing men can, is nonsense and defies nature and logic.” Typical red-pill stuff.

There’s a reason “female dominated societies” are largely relegated to mythos and extreme interpretive liberty.

In the homosapien species the males are, on average, larger.

🤷‍♂️

No doubt, I’m just postulating that a female leader would be more willing to use her male soldiers more often in defense of the home.
