Ha ha, ok.No need for apology. I knew what you meant, but I couldn’t help myself.![]()
Yes, I mean actual homosexual behavior and relationships. Mere same-sex attraction is not in itself sinful.Thank you. Can you please clarify what exactly you mean by “homosexual behaviour” however? do you mean sexual relations, gay relationships in general, being gay, etc.
Edit: I’m going to bed, I’ll respond tomorrow.
What if the relationships do not include sex? (Like the one I’m in with my boyfriend at the moment)Yes, I mean actual homosexual behavior and relationships. Mere same-sex attraction is not in itself sinful.
You probably would really want to avoid Rufus Wainwright CD’s then.So would buying the music of an admitted homosexual be a sin? I hope not because I like my Elton John CDs. He writes alot of great stuff and I am not really concerned with what his sexual preference is.
You are not preaching tolerance, you are preaching “embrace my lifestyle”. That is waaaay different than tolerance.sigh Just because a person doesn’t believe in a religion does not mean they are confused. And I find it sad when someone thinks its a “sad time” when tolerance is preached, I really do.
Well now that he is an outspoken advocate of homosexuality and very intolerant of Christians it could be a sin.So would buying the music of an admitted homosexual be a sin? I hope not because I like my Elton John CDs. He writes alot of great stuff and I am not really concerned with what his sexual preference is.
No, not even, because of the appearance and the witness being presented. This gives the element of scandal, and cannot be condoned either. What if the relationships do not include sex? (Like the one I’m in with my boyfriend at the moment)
Ha! embrace my lifestyle? Have you seen all of the posts here saying homosexuality is sinful/goes against god etc that I haven’t even touched on or even disagreed with? The only post that you could even try and say I disagreed with was that one that Sweeny posted stereotyping gays (where I simply stated that the message offended me, and that not all gays are stereotypes) and even then Sweeny explained and I accepted his apology. Yet your still going on and stating (what MUST be a hyperbole) that I am trying to get others to embrace my “lifestyle” look around, do you see me attacking other users? do you see me trying to force others to accept me? no, so don’t put this fictional motive in my mouth or messages, and seriously just move on, just as Sweeny and I have. You are not preaching tolerance, you are preaching “embrace my lifestyle”. So gays aren’t suppose to be able to embrace love at all?(according to Catholics) Awwww, that seems kind of unfair. O well, thank you for answering the questionNo, not even, because of the appearance and the witness being presented. This gives the element of scandal, and cannot be condoned either.
Gays, like everyone else, are to love chastely. That precludes homosexual sex as well as the appearance and support thereof. Nothing stops you from being friends. So gays aren’t suppose to be able to embrace love at all?(according to Catholics) Awwww, that seems kind of unfair. Well I’m not sure if you’ve fallen in love before. But if you have you must admit that couple love is so much stronger and passion filled then just being friends. Friends are great, but love is just amazing.Gays, like everyone else, are to love chastely. That precludes homosexual sex as well as the appearance and support thereof. But something tells me you were never really interested in the answers anyway. I merely tell you the truth.
Respectfully, you’ve been starting provocative threads for some time now, consistently stating that you are “gay”, not religious, not Catholic, and not interested in the religious view of homosexuality. Perhaps you’ve changed in the last few months and are seriously listening to the responses here on CAF. But, based on your responses, and your continued references to your lifestyle, your boyfriend, your experience, I tend to think your primary reason for being here is to bait Catholics. I understand you are very young and so I will pray for you. It might not be a bad idea to talk to your folks about your issues.Ha! embrace my lifestyle? I honestly am interested in the answers.** But I’m not as interested as a confused Christian who wishes to live there lives off of your answers.** Not saying your answers aren’t completely valid for your religion, just saying that I don’t believe in the religion. I really love seeking knowledge and learning other people and religions view points on things, so I suppose its more of a philosophical interest then anything.![]()
Yes. Between a man and a woman. So amazing that new life can come out of it.Well I’m not sure if you’ve fallen in love before. But if you have you must admit that couple love is so much stronger and passion filled then just being friends. Friends are great, but love is just amazing.
I doubt it. You don’t appear sincere to me; just flamebaiting on how unfair “the Catholic religion” is, etc, etc, given your references to “your religion” and “the Catholic religion.”I honestly am interested in the answers. I apologize if I wrongly assessed your sincerity. This is ridiculous seriously. I try to be kind, I try to be sincere, I only reference my “lifestyle” when its relevant and you people still seem to hate me. I DON’T get this! How is it even possible for me to be a member here without people hating me?? I don’t want to hide who I am and I’m being as respectful as I possible can. I want to learn, not be hated.
Actually never mind. Your never going to believe I’m sincere or that I’m seeking information (which I know is uncommon at my age) so why don’t you just send me a link to another Catholic forum that is less hostile. I’ve had to deal with these attacks on my sincerity every time I come here and I’m always driven away.
