Because I just confessed a day before that. I couldn’t bring myself to pray. Does that mean I’m in the state of sin again?
Divine Mercy Sunday was established by Pope John Paul II as the first Sunday after Easter. From Good Friday to Divine Mercy Sunday, there’s a novena in which each day there is a special intention for the Divine Mercy Chaplet. At my parish, there will be the recitation of the Divine Mercy chaplet as well as adoration.I kind of thought it was a mortal sin, but I wasn’t sure. If it’s not, then I’ll start taking the Eucharist again.
Do you know the deal for Divine Mercy Sunday?
Amen to that. If everyone prayed only when they felt like it, the world would fall apart. It’s just something that we have do, like eating or sleeping.when you don’t feel like praying is exactly when you should pray anyway-Jesus is always with you, closest to you when it seems He is not there…(as long as you are in a state of grace) So, just begin to pray and acknowledge what you are feeling-you might be amazed how quickly the Holy Spirit will hear you and inspire you with new understanding and inner peace.
I guess I can’t do the novena. I was going to start today, but it turns out that it started on Good Friday. Had I known, I would have started then.Divine Mercy Sunday was established by Pope John Paul II as the first Sunday after Easter.
