As Christians we should be good stewards of the Earth.

We have so much sought easier ways of living, in the name of comfort and ease of life humankind has abandoned the old way of doing things and created a unnatural way of living which causes the Earth harm. This goes for birth control and abortion as well.

The Earth is not a stage for human beings to play on. It too is a creature of God, with its own rights, which humans may not violate. -Ronald Rolheiser.

We have been given this beautiful planet by God, lets take care of it like we would our own bodies, homes, families, its the only one we have.

Fifty years ago, there was a push just to reproduce oneself. That would mean two kids per couple. I don’t have any quotes of any organizations that support abortion and birth control as methods for conservation, but I don’t doubt it. I also see the push for euthanasia and assisted suicide to be a goal of those on the crazy side of conservation.

At one time, probably the Dark Ages, there were wine vineyards in Holland. Must have been some warming of the planet then but it wasn’t because of SUVs etc. Vaguely remember being taught that Leif Erikson came back praising Vinland which could or maybe wasn’t grapes. Whatever. Point is the earth was warmer than to grow what is no longer found in the places he visited.

We worry about the caribou up in Alaska and we will not drill. We worry about the smelt and stop the water to the farms in Central Valley, CA, which provides 13% of our produce. It is now suffering 40% unemployment not to mention foreclosures on farms. We will not drill in the Gulf but Venezuela, China, and Canada are sucking the oil off the the coast of Florida.

Those light bulbs…check on how you are to dispose of them. Electric cars? It takes hours to juice them up and where are you going to do that when you’re on the road.

Now there’s a push for no more 3-ply toilet tissue. Using up Canadian trees. Maybe after making ethenol from corn, a cottage industry could be set up for the recycling of those cobs. Great-Grand Pappy’s Potty Pal. I’m getting a copyright. :newidea:
