Retrouvaille’s only goal is to SAVE marriages.
Which it does in most cases. The people there already have troubled marriages, or they wouldn’t be there. Obviously it is not something that will cure every problem in every case, nothing does that. Both partners have to work at it, and go in with the attitude that they want the marriage to continue, or of course it won’t work.
As for us, Retrouvaille was the ONLY thing that saved our family. My husband and I were actually already divorced when we went, and we ended up remarried, in the Church this time, and have been happily married for the 5 years and 2 more kids since our Retrouvaille! The program works, but only if you want it to, just like anything else.
