Is Seattle This Bad Now?

I remember magazine covers in the 1980s about the decline of the American family.
I also remember the celebration of the single mother who has a career and a token child. In some ways that is still happening, but it’s not nearly as bad as it was in the 80’s.

Everyone now knows that children, especially boys, don’t do well without an involved father. But certain groups are still turning a blind eye to that fact. It’s another reason that if the Democratic Party doesn’t jettison itself from these groups that they will loose popularity.

Every time I see these kind of articles I think I might finally be able to afford to live in Seattle or the Bay Area for a couple years. Decades of disappointment!

I agree that Democrat-run cities are crap. I live in NYC and can attest to that. I had no issues here until recently but have seen a steady decline over the last decade. I also lived in San Francisco and the last time I went back I wish I hadn’t visited. My brother is still in Austin and it is becoming like San Francisco and I would never live there again. But my question is why then are the states with the most poverty are red states. Personally, I’m independent because I dislike both major parties so I have no skin in the game but am curious to hear opinions on this.

When you have lost an argument, always refer to your victor as a Nazi.
If KOMO wants to continue promoting the Nazi view of the homeless then people are going to call them Nazis.
Surely we aren’t just punching down on people who are already suffering because it’s fun to get upset at libs?
People just mostly hate the homeless. They aren’t someone to be helped, they’re a problem to be dealt with. They’re “druggies” but people don’t want to fund proper drug treatment or anti-poverty measures. They “spread disease” but God forbid we make our health care system more equitable. They leave human waste but there’s no way any of my tax dollars are going to fund public restrooms, people do drugs in them! I hate how homeless people set up camp in public parks, their tents are so unsightly, also a new shelter will be located in my neighborhood over my dead body. The list never ends.
