Is shopping at Walmart a sin?

So you don’t pay your income taxes either, huh? They go to support the public school system. You don’t buy anything at other stores either, since sales taxes can also go to support schools, right? And lottery tickets are a no-no as well. If you own a house, you also refuse to pay the school tax that is part of your property tax, right?

I shop there and hope it is not a sin. With my finances, I can not afford to be too picky about where I shop even though I wish I could support the mom and pop stores that Wal Mart and other “big chains” like that tend to run out of business.

I shop at WalMart only because they sell guns and bullets.

Keep 'em in the ten ring.

Sam Walton was a man of high moral values. Alas, the chain after his death is an aberation. I would like to see all the stores close on Sunday, like the old days.

look at the barcode is the beast thread, definitely a sin to shop anywhere merchandise is barcoded. also definitely a sin to participate in cyber discussions, since www is the mark of the beast. we are all doomed to perdition. so unless we communicate by letter, carrier pigeon or phone and shop only at thrift stores and flea markets we are caught in the tenacles of the beast.

Since I took the tags off my pillows so that they no longer have the bar codes, aren’t they no longer sinfull? But, oops, the whole tag on the pillow thing. Double jeopardy?

It’s the fact that they’re offering the program. They’re donating money to, essentially, satan’s most powerful tool. Corrupt them while they’re young, while they don’t know better. And Target supports that? They’re not getting any of my money, not for themselves nor for any school. Well, they were’nt anyway. It’s so hard to hold a boycott in my situation, and I avoided Target well, but sooner or later, it came to the point where I had no choice.

So don’t sign up for it. I haven’t, but I don’t agree with your Satan’s tool assessment. Relax dude. Lets worry about getting the kids born safely so that, then, we can take good care of their future.

I really think that free enterprise is wonderful. Sam Walton is gone, but the stores are thriving. The people are earning money, and the full time people get insurance. What do people expect nowadays from this type of job? I believe that our system works. If a person wants a different job, then they go for the training. What would stop them? It is not a sin to work or shop at Walmart. Couldn’t be.
