Is taking birth control pills for a medical reason scandal?

This is a good point. It would be on them, and not on you, DarkLight.

My dear DarkLight, you don’t have any scandal or sin to worry about. You have a legitimate reason to take them.

Thistle has a good idea, too, that he mentioned in his post to you. As another option, you can have one of your family members pick them up for you, if they already know that you are taking them. They can pick them up at the pharmacy for you, on your behalf.

We are saying that you need not tell them you are Catholic. Just go in pick up your prescription and say thank you and off you go. You can talk about the weather, news, whatever. It need not be Catholic talk. You are just fine in this. Even if you “slipped” they did find out you are Catholic, that is no scandal. What they think is their problem. Please be at peace here! 🙂 :hug3:
 
If you are really worried about this, what about using a mail-order pharmacy? Usually you have to fill at least a 90 day prescription, but if you are going to be taking this medication for a while, it would actually be cheaper to use 90 day prescriptions.

This is ridiculous. I hope not. I need to regulate my cycle. This may be tmi for some. Besides, who should know you are birth control other than yourself?
 
I’m a support worker and a couple of the service users have depo injections due to mental health rather than contraception.
