So true, and one of the point I was trying to make.

I’m with 'Tis – this whole thing is a troll. And is the kind of thing that gives Catholics a bad name.

Anyone stumbling upon this should remember that these views do not represent those of the Church.

And with that, I’m out as well. Good day, everyone.

Have a good day @JulianN. I am not a troll and never said that the Catholic Church endorses any such views or view. They are just statistics. Not really a view.

Oh come now. Iron sharpens iron. This one’s a softball. Anyone who’s spent even a few minutes looking at the way Jesus lived knows that the “misogyny” claim is utter bunk. For goodness sakes, the only people in the gospels who marginally had it together - at least until the HS showed up - were women!

Plus it’s kinda fun. As much as I like crossing doctrinal swords with @Fauken, it’s great fun sharing the same side of the field 🙂

Exactly. All the wage gap stuff has been debunked for years which is why I brought them up when @Freddy talked about wage gap and job gap.

I don’t see how what I said was insulting.
That’s the problem, you don’t see it. People are telling you that what you said was insulting, and are you even stopping to consider that perhaps it was was offensive? No, you’re doubling down on the claims.

Well could you tell me why you found what I said as offensive. Nothing I said was targeted toward a phone are demeaning to anyone so I truly am baffled.

Look back through the responses to your posts to see why what you your remarks are offensive. If you aren’t going to post the data to back up your claims and are telling people to go look it up for themselves, there’s no reason why I should reiterate your remarks. As I’m only a woman, you’re more intelligent than I, so you can do a better job at it.

Well you definitely did not comprehend what I was trying to say. I was saying that men have the highest IQs not that every man is smarter than every woman. I know many women much smarter than I and I actually think I am sub 100 IQ. I was trying to ask you person to person but if you don’t want to share I understand.

Saying that men are more intelligent than women by pointing out the greater variance in IQ among men is not sound.

Sure there are more men than women in the highest range of IQ but there are also more men than women in the lowest ranges.

It just means that men have greater variance in IQ than women. That’s all.

If you take a distribution curve of the IQ of men and a distribution curve of IQ of women and superimpose them, you will see that the curves coincides at the widest and highest point but at the wings of the bell curve, at the extremes of the IQ range, you will find higher amounts for the men.

You will have a point if the bell curve for men is shifted to the right of the bell curve for women. If that is the case you can say that on average, men are more intelligent than women.

He also requested that the wife ask HIM to be her husband. 🤔

In view of this and other threads, it is difficult to take the poster at face value. There seems to be a pattern of thread hijacking and disruption happening, and I have reported it.

Let’s get back to the Bible topic and move on from this off topic nonsense.

Hmm, I’m on the spectrum but even I know what he said was not only undiplomatic but also outright factually false.

Ah, thank you for the insight. I agree; continuing this would be pointless

Thank you for putting it more eloquently than I. I was just meaning to say that men have the highest IQ scores (men also have the lowest), not that men are smarter than women (IQs are average across both sexes). Those higher IQ folks tend to make more money which contributes to the “inequality” of the wage gap.

I am not on the spectrum. Just socially inept on having dialogue on the internet. I am no the best with words.

You reported me for what exactly? I didn’t do anything wrong or break any forum rules. Also you are the one that brought this off topic. I was originally replying to @Freddy, not you.

Jeez, sorry @Anrakyr. This thread got so blown up and out of focus I forgot who I was originally even replying to.

Please note that anyone can respond to any post.
I responded because you were giving an incorrect and poor impression of Catholic teaching. We have had trouble with that before and I do not wish to have someone else starting another thread about “Does the Catholic Church really teach that women are less intelligent than men?” that we then have to correct.

Just because you addressed your response to Freddy does not mean that no one but Freddy can respond or comment. If you would like to just converse with Freddy, you should use the private messaging function, with the understanding that Freddy might not wish to respond or discuss with you through that channel.

I would also suggest that you review the forum rules. A number of your responses in the other threads I’ve seen have been uncharitable and the terminology you have used such as calling people “sodomites” and asking if people “like lies” is inappropriate for this forum.
