There is a way to say that a post seems untruthful or incorrect without being rude.

I am flagging for rude behavior in violation of the TOS, not for content of a post. You are free to flag posts you think violate TOS. You don’t need me to report them for you if you think they should be reported, and besides, I’m out of flags.

Jeez, sorry @Anrakyr. This thread got so blown up and out of focus I forgot who I was originally even replying to.
I’m going to tell you as an Austin man something that took me years to appreciate:

Your fellow humans owe you the chance to be heard, you owe them in return the opportunity to be understood. You won’t always succeed but you are responsible to communicate.

You have a way with you that’s like a younger me. Go get tested for autism, if positive then look for DBT and CBT. These will help you connect with other people. Even if you are not autistic these are huge tools for anyone struggling to communicate.

I don’t claim to be good at it myself, it’s a long process.

That said don’t bring misogynistic crap to this forum.

I don’t respond to such broad over generalizations. I would have to be speaking to someone I knew was actually open to listening,
This is key - we get regular, voluminous threads on CAF where someone asks, “how do I respond to this or that?” Without knowing the person who asked the thread-starter, we have no idea whether they are open to learning, or just throwing out question after question to “prove” their point.

Anytime someone is genuinely interested, I am happy to engage them and help them. When the information is third-party it rarely works.

Apologetics through transitive property rarely works.

Anyway, the Bible is a collection of different kinds of writing, with dozens of authors, spanning hundreds and hundreds of years. It reflects the time, place, culture and thinking of its varied authors. So, no it isn’t misogynistic, short answer.

I have read the forum rules and I have yet to break any. I also never said men are smarter than women. I said the smartest people tend to be men based on IQ distribution. I also noted in my original post to Freddy that men and women have the same average IQ score. This also has nothing to do with Catholic teaching. It was to explain a factor that contributes to the debunked pay gap that Freddy was peddling.

As far as the calling sodomites sodomites, I am not sure what the problem is. Has sodomite, a biblical word, gone out of fashion and if so why? This is not something I am aware of.

As far a the lie thing, the cartoon that that poster liked was egregiously uncharitable and frankly quite gross. To any reasonable person that cartoon is full of lies.

NO but the men dominated the whole Ancient civilization during those time…

Let us look for Sarah, Miriam, Deborah, Rahab, Judith, Ruth, Rachel, Hannah, and Esther in the Old Testament. There are some women that aren’t mentioned but these are the notable women had gained honor and respect on their lifetime.

Of course, Mama Mary and Elizabeth for the New Testament who are highly regarded by us, Christians.
Not to mention looking at the influence and respect.which mothers of the Kings of Israel had in the OT.

The highest and most powerful human that is not God that has ever existed is a woman.

The highest and most powerful human that is not God that has ever existed is a woman.
Yes, and she was exalted above every living being — whether it’s Earthly being or Spirit — by being crowned by God as the Queen of Heaven and Earth. Because even the angels, who by nature are greater than humans, hail Mary as their Queen.
Only in Heaven we will know the joy that she brought to all saints and angels, they longed so much for the coming of her whose heel crushes the head of the serpent.

The accusations of “Church hating women” and Her misogyny (yes, Catholic Church is a “her” — the Bride of Christ) only strengthen my belief that they arise from the backstage plotting of Satan. He can’t stand that he’s been crushed by her foot.

How high was She elevated for her obedience and how low he fell by his rebellion.

To answer the OP: without a strong background in Scripture, there are times that the best answer is to say “Oooohhh” and not get sucked in further; then do some research.

Most often thopse saying it hve an issue beneath the question, often one that they presume is “far better and wiser”, and that coupled with a hit-or-miss approach to the Bible, or no approach at all (as in, “Don’t confuse me with facts; I already have my mind made up”). And that makes for a perfect time to not get sucked into their prejudices.
