Just because it is not specifically prohibited, does not mean it can be allowed to come in contact with the Precious Blood. Only a real purificator, not Clorox wipes, or Clorox spray. There are procedures that must be followed. I am a sacristan and would defend the Precious Blood from this type of abuse. The Sacred Linen can not be laundered as usual until the linen is soaked in pure water so that the Precious Blood is no longer there. This water is poured into the sacrarium or the ground. Then the purificators and corporal are washed as usual, even a little bleach can then be added to remove stains, but never without the sacred rinse first. No soap, bleach or disinfectant while the Precious Blood remains. In the chalice itself, during the distribution, the Precious Blood is there. That’s not true. A typical/approved cloth purificator could indeed be treated with a germ-killing agent before it was used. I’m not sure that it would be practical or or any real value but there is no specific prohibition from doing something like that.
