Is the second day of creation "good"

This is basically what I feel to be true. But I also feel that Hell, if created prior to the fall, was probably done on the second day.

But wow, one insight leads to another in that the serpent, Lucifer/Satan, was in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. Lucifer meaning “light-bearer” is also interesting in that Adam and Eve’s eyes were opened after eating the fruit of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Moot points as they may be, studying the Holy Scriptures is a virtue in my estimation. But ignorant as I probably am, it’s important to be humble and open-minded here.

Could be. Have you ever heard of the “gap theory”? It’s possibly one piece of the puzzle.

The serpent has traditionally been perceived of as the devil, although we can’t be absolutely sure. I never thought of the meaning of the name Lucifer, its connotations and the opening of the eyes of Adam and Eve. Interesting.

I hope you didn’t take my point about it being moot as an insult. I certainly didn’t mean it that way. I consider myself fairly ignorant, although I keep trying to learn more. Yes, humility and open-mindedness are important. I know that you are open-minded and humble by reading your posts. Hopefully I can be also.

Thank you! It raises a lot of questions, but is clear that the number one sinful attribute of the fallen angels is pride. We must BE HUMBLE!!!

Why God allowed Adam and Eve to mingle with Satan remains a mystery, but it sure sounds like an “accident” waiting to happen.

Both Adams were tempted by Satan in the Garden.

The 2nd Adam relied on the Father.
The 1st Adam relied on himself and failed.

There’s a lesson in there somewhere… 😉
 
You have to remember that only Man go through temptation. The angels did not go through temptation, which makes us more of a servant of God because of what we have to go through. In my opinion is that the difference that God was making between Man and Angels is the fact that we must go through temptation. Maybe God was trying to make Man a more of a follower and servant of him.
