60:8. Allâh does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion and did not drive you out of your homes. Verily, Allâh loves those who deal with equity.
60:9. It is only as regards those who fought against you on account of religion, and have driven you out of your homes, and helped to drive you out, that Allâh forbids you to befriend them. And whosoever will befriend them, then such are the Zâlimûn (wrong-doers those who disobey Allâh).
2:190 Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors.

You are right on…
Copts, (Egyptian Christians) only refer to God as “Allah” when speaking in Arabic. Its simply a matter of translation.
So for example, if I’m gonna say “God willing…” in english you would here “God willing”. If I were gonna say “God Willing” in arabic I would say “Insha allah”.
But when Muslims, refer to God as “Allah” when speaking in English, it takes on a different meaning.
And you are right. I do NOT refer to myself as an Arab. Never have and never will. …Nor have I heard anyone in my church refer to themselves as arabs.

the arabic word allah comes from the hebrew word eloah ,since hebrew is a more ancient language I conclude that hebrew is the source .
