That is God’s word to me, I am sorry if you do not hear God telling you that too.
I never said that I do not hear God telling me that, try and stick to the facts!
Ok I will try, honestly
**Did God tell you that you, personally, will go to Heaven or are you here referring to your understanding of Scripture. **
As per the auto mechanic scenario, God interpreted for me, in prayer, by the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit the meaning of His word.
For example,
From John 3:16 God told me, He loved me so much that He gave me two gifts,
1st gift Jesus
and that if I believe in Him (Jesus), I should not perish (saved from hell)
and since He loved me so much He gives me His
2nd gift eternal life in heaven.
of course there is a commitment of faith which goes along with that as told in the bible.
As we are finding out **there are a lot of verses in the bible **where everyone in the Christian family may not necessarily agree on what God is saying by any one verse.
If only life and understanding God was as easy as…
I know He is, just listen to His word
That is good for starters
**Im sorry but I find your gesturing disingenous. **
I am sorry, I will be more sensitive in the future and choose my words better.
If you have had a private revelation(like St Faustina and many others ) lay it on the table and let us know that "God said this to me"
I promise you I will continue to do so as I have been doing so as per the scenario above.
However, If God should tell me something that is not in scripture I will be happy to share with you too.
BTW, can you do the same?
dont keep playing games
I am sorry you feel I am playing games, my heart bleeds that we Christians can not agree one with another.
In all honesty, how do you all feel the outside unbelieving world sees us when they are out there looking in?
Scary thought, isn’t it?
I AM NOT playing games.
Look at the Shine Jesus Shine
thread I posted and lets give the “lost” world hope in Jesus name,
Amen??
like substituting your name into a Scripture verse and pretending that that is “God speaking” to you.
And why not plug names into scripture?.
Isn’t God’s word, the bible, personal.
When I read John 3:16, aren’t I part of the world to which God is referring?
When I read the bible, I change all the you’s and your’s in the bible to me’s and I.
When one does that, the message of God’s word can not help but become personal.
And I do not believe I am doing anything against God’s will.
Look at the following and you will know exactly what I mean.
Fathers Love Letter
I believe Scripture can not get any more personal than that.
May God bless with His word
Do you see what I am talking about?
And if you havent had a private revelation regarding your personal salvation, simply have the courtesy to admit it rather than pretending that I have distorted the truth or have offended you.
My personal salvation was promised to me, by faith according to God’s word, directly from God and the bible as per the scenario I described above.
At this point I believe we understand each other.
I am really sorry
for all the misunderstandings
**This has nothing to do with whether or not I believe you are saved - of course I hope that you are. **
Thank you,
as I pray and hope you are. I would not wish hell on my worst enemy.
This simply has to do with being honest - you know, what is the truth?
to that I agree 100% at least we agree 100% with each other on something. this is definitely a good start.
Having said that, I am taken back a little, I hope it is another misunderstanding
Do I take it from you saying,
“this simply has to do with being honest”,
that you felt at any time I was being any less than honest in what I posted here???
Thank you
God bless you

Apparently God Told you a differnt meaning than He told me, as to why only God knows. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John3:16
