Hi Kolbe300,
Thank you so much for spelling it out in the way I can understand what Roman Catholics believe about their salvation.
I was Roman Catholic and I believed in the same way. I used to shy away from people like me, I am serious. Now I am on the other side. I understand your side.
I can’t figure out why a couple posts have made it sound as if you must be a practicing Roman Catholic in order to be saved. That isn’t true, as the Church makes quite clear. The Church is undoubtedly the “fullness of Christian truth” but God is not incapable of working outside of the sacraments. The OP asks whether there would be hope for salvation for a non Roman Catholic.
The answer is simple: yes. Every human being has
hope for salvation.
Thnk you for your confidence of hope.

whatisthetruth, what I am curious about is the desire so many protestants have for this 100% guarantee that if you die right now you will go to heaven.
Car accident below, that is why
I do believe there is a way to be 100% sure
if I die right now, (I am not talking about tomorrow, next week or next year
but right now) I know I will spend eternity in heaven.
I do not consider myself arrogant, for I desire all my christian brothers and sisters to declare that too.
I believe God wants us to declare it.
If God does not, why then did he mention “gift” so many times in the bible?
If there was a way to be confident about one’s own salvation, do you believe Fragile and thomasf would have posted the following?
