Hi Philthy, I am so sorryHi WhatistheTruth -
first it was Calm, now you. I didnt not ignore you intentionally.
Lets see if I can address your concerns. I will take them in reverse order ok?
lets start here,
I am glad you askedDid you miss this post from page 18? I especially wanted an answer to the last question…
**Can I ask you a question? When (as in what year) were you born again? **
I was born again 11-14-99
I was baptized by immersion 12-31-99, our New Years Eve night service.
Yes I am certain of my salvation.
**Which, when you think about it, makes one wonder why you really started a thread titled"Is there hope for me…?" when, in fact, you dont actually question whether there is hope for you - you are certain of it. **
I posted out of curiousity of what Catholics believed.
As a former Catholic I always believed if one was not Catholic there was no hope for that person. I found out from this thread some still believe that today.
I received a number of PM telling me there was NO HOPE that I better consider returning to the Catholic church…
Wrong. I still do not have a clear sense if the Catholic teaching says I am doomed or not.I mean once you are certain of it - and it doesnt get any surer than “God told me so” - how can you possibly come to dialogue genuinely looking for answers? You already have the answer you seek. Correct?
Some Catholics say I have hope some say I am destined for hell if I do not return to the Catholic church
I have no doubt in your honesty.**And while we are being honest, the particular wording that you use as your personal revelation from God of " if I should die right now…" is something I’ve heard from about a hundred people before and that takes away some of its luster. Im telling you this not to discourage you, but just so you can appreciate my perspective. **
and the thing is, I believe the luster has been taken away from God’s wonderful gift because of the fact that thier are Christians who misunderstand what I believe God’s promise of salvation is.
That is why I believe a number of Catholics place us “protestants”
under the “once saved always saved” misunderstood umbrella.
Philthy, I believe you were one of the people who said to me that God has a plan for me being here. I want to thank you for that.
Because, just recently I came across a thread by VARC which I no doubt God led me to.
I posted in the thread because VARC’s OP went right to my heart. I am sorry for the length. I even referred another post for a prayer I said related to the subject at hand.
Philthy and all who read my post, I believe that the TIME IS NOW
Here is my post, and you will know what I mean

You’re a right brained, **touchy feely type **- I tend to be more left brained and am more logical/analytical. You are a little less concerned with and/or capable of articulating yourself precisely. I dont think you are being dishonest - you simply didnt - and dont - realize how your comments are sometimes loose and unclear.
Sorry I try to be more careful, however thank youfor the compliments, Iam emotional, I cry easy especially tear jerker movies
That can make them appear to be purposely evasive, when in fact, you simply didnt realize all the ambiguities created by your wording. I’ll stop talking now because I can tell Im overanalyzing and you probably couldnt care less!
Philthy, now why on earth would you say that I couldnt care less.
Ohh I know you were just kidding that is it right??
Philthy, I appreciated talking with you the first time I met you.
I care about you just as much a I care about anyone else.
I admire your faith and dedication.
IF I were God, I give you the keys to heaven, but I am not God.
Lets keep this going.
I feel something going on here.
I can not explain it. But something is simmering.
God bless,
let me get caught up with your other posts.
